Making Strides Against Breast Cancer The State Capitol,
Lansing
Since the Breast Center of Lansing's opening in 2004, we have
participated in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at the Lansing Capitol building. This walk takes
place in the fall, and we welcome all who would like to join our team! Hopefully we will be adding more Breast Cancer awareness
events to our schedule in the future!
This past fall, in 2006, we were lucky to have Michigan State's
chapter of Chi Omega sorority participate along side of BCL. Although the weather was a little chilly, a great time
was had by all, and hopefully even more people will attend the event next year!
In addition to the Making Strides walk, BCL has also recently
started a co-ed softball team. This so far has been a great chance for the staff to relax and have fun together outside
of work.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for events that BCL can
or should participate in please feel free to e-mail or call us!
"I know that cancer is likely to touch someone close to
me … and to you. So many women suffer and die from the disease each year – but we have the power to help them.
That’s why I’m walking in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I want to do all I can to support the American
Cancer Society’s lifesaving breast cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services programs so that, someday,
breast cancer will no longer be a threat to the women I love."
